No prior musical training is required, and this certification is open to and can be completed by non-mental health professionals.
The break down is as follows.
5 hrs - 15-20 recommended watch videos.
25 hrs - 5 * 5 hr modules
10 hrs - 10 self case studies
10 hrs - 10 one on one/group case studies
50 hrs - Capstone Project (How you vision manifesting your sound therapy practice in your community) with one page synopsis.
In addition to the above hours needed:
4-6 hrs a week. Recommended Review Hours for the duration of the course material
1 hr a week Mentor Hours - as needed.
Peer support group through what’s app unlimited for the duration of the course and also after the course is completed
This program is a Part-Time at your own pace Training program that other graduates have completed anywhere from 10-14 months.
Once completed, you will receive a certification from Daybreak Therapy and Training and Toronto Sound Therapy.
You will have access to a mentor for guidance through out the duration of your project via zoom, email, voice note or text.
Once registered you will receive a welcome email with case study forms,
and link to create an account in the Sound Therapy Practitioners Portal where you will find all course notes, slides videos and modules.

In Partnership with - Daybreak Therapy and Training is approved for CE credits by many professional organizations including: the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
Our training has also been approved for reimbursed PD hours by the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and meets continuing competency / CEU requirements of a number of counselling associations, organizations and regulatory bodies for psychotherapy professionals including the CRPO and OCSWSSW.
